The first beta release of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 for developers. But as usual, both updates will also be available to public testers. If you are using the latest beta version, namely iOS 14.4 RC, then you can upgrade to iOS 14.5 Beta 1 immediately. If you did not receive an OTA notification, you can update your phone manually from Settings > Software update.
If you are using the public version of iOS 14.4, you must first install the beta profile on your iPhone or iPad. It sends all upcoming beta updates directly to your phone. To set up a beta profile on your iPhone or iPad, follow the steps below.
- Go to the Apple Beta Program page.
- Then scroll down a bit and click Connect if you have an Apple ID.
- On the next page, select the appropriate operating system for your devices, for example B. iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
- Scroll down until it starts and press the Enroll your iOS device button.
- You should now install the profile from the next page. To do so, click on Download Profile.
