However, if you use Safari on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 or 13, you can request the desktop version temporarily or even permanently. Additionally, if you want to see only the desktop versions of websites on your iOS device, you can also enable this feature in the settings.

  • Click the AA icon in the upper left corner of the browser window (next to the URL address bar).
  • Then, on the desktop, tap the Search for a Website option in the list that appears.

Your device will now display the desktop version of the website opened on this tab, but this is only a temporary fix. To permanently activate desktop mode for the specified site, follow our instructions below.

  • Then tap the Website settings option in the list that appears.
  • On the next page, click the toggle button next to the Desktop Query website.

Safari will now activate desktop mode for the selected website until you cancel this feature via the device settings (see screenshot at the end of this article).

If you have already enabled desktop mode for one site by following the instructions above, you will not see an option to request desktop mode for all sites. Instead, click the toggle button next to the other websites.
