A while ago in a galaxy far, far away, NVIDIA announced a new architecture for their graphics cards. The architecture is called CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), and it’s designed to use the same parallel computing techniques found in supercomputers to make it possible to run multiple parallel tasks on a single graphics card.

In late 2017, NVIDIA launched their NVIDIA® CUDA™ (Compute Unified Device Architecture) technology, which is basically their own version of OpenCL/OpenCL 2.0. The best thing about CUDA is its ability to provide great performance for applications that can be parallelized, or in other words, programs that can take advantage of multiple processors.
