Realme is back with another incredible truly wireless headphone, the Air 2. This is the successor to the OG Realme Buds Air. The good news is that the Air 2 Buds have been upgraded with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Realme boldly continues with the goal of bringing the ANC closer to a large number of people.

The casing is identical to that of the Buds Air Pro. It has a similar form of flat pavement. It is, of course, made of shiny plastic. So, if you take the black model and it’s striped, it’s immediately obvious. Also, the plastic on the top cover is pretty thin and the hinge is not metal like the Buds Air Pro, so you can worry about it getting damaged with prolonged use.

There is an indicator light on the front of the case and the USB Type-C port is located on the bottom of the case. The Bud Air 2 case is so portable, you can flip it over with your thumb and it easily fits in your pocket. As for the tops, the white one is unique thanks to the chrome finish on the stem and it is really attractive.

Hold on tight. Of course, Realme worked hard to improve the fit. When you receive a pair of custom earpieces, you will be pleased with how they fit into your ear canal. It has been shown to be extremely comfortable for extended listening. And it also passed an intense test of head shaking. However, if you wear it while wearing headphones or have the Buds Air 2 in your ears while sleeping on your side, you will feel uncomfortable because it will stick out.

The headphones are also IPX5 certified for optimal protection against sweat during exercise.

How does the Realme Buds Air 2 sound in your ear? It is equipped with 10 mm drivers in each earpiece that deliver rich bass sound. Low standards are a bit cumbersome, but not as rigid and precise as some would like. If you’ve ever used the Air 2 Buds, you’ll have noticed that they produce a heavy bass sound that sometimes interrupts the rest of the frequency spectrum.

If you have a lot of EDM/hip-hop songs on your playlist, the Buds Air 2 will make you feel right at home. Plus, like the Buds Wireless and Buds Air Pro, the Buds Air 2 offers a generous sound experience. It’s certainly not audiophile level, it’s hard to tell one instrument from another in chaotic songs like Frontier Psychiatrist by The Avalanches.

Fortunately, the Buds Air 2 offer an excellent midrange that stands out on acoustic tracks. The sound of the vocals was good, although it would have sounded even more stunning if the company had refined the high notes, because instruments like the guitar sound, for lack of a better word, dull.

Realme guarantees 25 hours of playback on a single charge, and the headphones offer 5 hours of battery life. With the ANC system activated, the total playback time is estimated at 22.5 hours.

During testing, the Buds lasted over 22 hours on a single charge in both ANC and transparency modes.

The Realme Buds Air 2 is available at a price of Rs. 3.299. This TWS pair is designed to deliver incredible sound on a budget. For this low price you get solid ANC, incredible sound, great looks and the convenience of a lightweight, portable accessory.

However, audiophiles may not be happy with it; the sound can be a little too loud due to the heaviness of the sound, and the smart features are not well implemented and sometimes tend to be unstable. But beyond that, the Realme Buds Air 2 offer an even better sounding experience, and at an equally low price.
